Frequently Asked Questions

No. We only provide “non-medical” or “non-clinical” care. This is probably the most common question and confusion within and outside the healthcare industry. Home Health is typically a short term service, where clinically trained or “medical” personnel, i.e. Registered Nurse, Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapist comes to the home of the PATIENT, to perform a clinical procedure. The main role of home health is to provide medical services which enable a patient to heal at home or “less expensive” location than say a hospital. For Example: A nurse coming to the home to change a wound 3 times a week for 5 weeks. Typically Home Health Services are covered by Medicare and/or Insurance.

The cost of service varies from case to case depending on the level of care required. During your free, no obligation assessment we will work with you to determine what care is needed and how much it will cost.

While Medicare and typical Health Insurance DOES NOT COVER HOMECARE SERVICES, many long-term care insurance policies, worker’s compensation, and automobile insurance policies will reimburse for home care services. Premier Caregiver Services will help you and your family determine what a policy will actually cover, and we will provide the documentation your insurance company requests for approval and payment purposes.
